AA007 Asbestos Awareness Scaffolders
Course Information
Overview
Those who may be exposed to asbestos during their work or work in the near vicinity to asbestos products, including scaffolding personnel, are required to receive adequate and sufficient training so that they understand the risks. In this course, you will learn the necessary modules described in Chapter 4 of HSG247, ‘Asbestos: The Licensed Contractors’ Guide’.
Who should attend
This training course is intended for scaffolding personnel, working at all levels including operatives / supervisors / managers / directors, who may be required to work or supervise scaffolding work in areas where asbestos is present.
Entry Requirements
This course has no entry requirements. Students should have basic literacy skills, although it is not essential.
Teaching Learning Time
The basic course for scaffolding personnel, working at all levels including operatives / supervisors / managers / directors is delivered over 4 hours.
Optional practical elements require an additional 4 hours of practical training.
An additional 4 hours required for supervisors / managers / directors to deliver HSG247 Module 23.

There is a simple 20 question assessment at the end of the course.
