Course Information
Overview
The asbestos awareness course is designed for reception staff, customer service representatives, or anyone who might be asked about asbestos by a member of the public. Candidates will learn about what asbestos is, where you can find it in buildings, the health effects from breathing in the fibres together with how risk from exposure to the fibres can be controlled. The course teaches candidates how to handle customer queries and common ACM issues.

Those who have contact with members of the public or tenants, such as:
- Call centre staff
- Frontline personnel
- Reception staff
- Customer services
- Estates teams
Entry Requirements
This course has no entry requirements. Students should have basic literacy skills, although it is not essential.
Teaching Learning Time
The asbestos awareness course is delivered over 4 hours.
