Jobcentre Plus Low Value Procurement Scheme:
Funding is available from Jobcentre Plus across the UK via the Low Value Procurement Scheme. Aimed at people who are unemployed and looking at being re-trained to get back into employment. However criteria can vary and will depend on the area.
Some clients can become eligible on first day of unemployment but different areas of the country will have other eligibility criteria which could mean that the client must have a job offer letter relating to the type of training that they have requested.
Within the North East (and possibly other areas) Jobcentres are also going into companies who have put the staff on redundancy notice and interviewing the employee to assess what training can be provided in order to enable them to find work quicker once they have been made redundant.
For details on whether you are eligible for funding under the Low Value Procurement Scheme, contact your local Jobcentre Plus.
